Assistant Director of Campus Ministry
Carroll College

Description: Carroll College, a Roman Catholic, diocesan liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana invites applications for a 11-month full time Assistant Director of Campus Ministry position. This Minister collaborates with the Campus Ministry Team (Director of Campus Ministry and one other full-time Campus Minister) to design, implement, and evaluate programs of spiritual and religious significance for students, faculty, and staff of the Carroll community with particular emphasis on men’s faith formation. To that end, this Minister will lead various programs dedicated to helping young men explore their spirituality including weekly gatherings, direct work with male student ministers, one on one faith formation and spiritual counseling. This position will also work collaboratively with the Campus Ministry Team and FOCUS missionaries to plan and execute liturgical initiatives, various retreat experiences, and service endeavors. Anticipated start date is June 1, 2021.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry or a closely related field, though a Master’s degree in one of those areas is preferred. A heart for evangelization and a demonstrated understanding of ministering to young adults, particularly to young men, are necessary.  Appreciation for and a demonstrated ability to thrive within the Roman Catholic tradition and the Mission of Carroll College is required. Administrative, organizational, and strong leadership skills are required along with one to three years of active ministry.  Significant evening and weekend hours are required.  A love for the outdoors and an ability to incorporate the natural beauty of Montana into the spiritual life is a great plus.

Administrative Assistant
Catholic Social Services of Montana
Location – Helena, MT

Do you have special insight when dealing with people seeking assistance?  Are you service-oriented and self-motivated?  We are seeking a self-motivating individual to provide an advanced level of confidential administrative support including general office management and clerical support for Catholic Social Services of Montana in Helena.  The successful candidate will also establish and maintain departmental records, coordinate assigned projects and act as a liaison with the general public

We offer an excellent compensation package for a motivated individual. This position is a part-time, hourly position that is also benefit-eligible.

Qualifications should include, but are not limited to:

  • Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of office work experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and comfortably with all CSSM employees as well as the Board, donors, adoptive and birth parents, event planners, and baby boutique/diaper bank clients.
  • Good listener/excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in person
  • Experience using computers, databases, and online applications
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint), Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to appropriately prioritize work responsibilities
  • Must be self-initiating and possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • A positive and supportive attitude towards the Roman Catholic Church and its teachings and willing to work cooperatively with its endeavors.
  • Must possess a current and valid Montana driver’s license
  • Must submit to a background check, take Protecting God’s Children Training and maintain VIRTUS on-line training bulletins.
