Diocese and Creditors Committee File Amended Reorganization Plan
On Jan 20, 2015, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, Montana (Diocese of Helena) and the Unsecured Creditors Committee filed the Amended Plan of Reorganization and the Amended Disclosure Statement. The Unsecured Creditors Committee represents the interests of those who have filed abuse claims against the Diocese of Helena.
At a hearing on March 4, 2015, at its courtroom in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the United States Bankruptcy Court approved the Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization.
On July 31, 2015 the US Bankruptcy Court issued a Final Decree, closing the Chapter 11 case and Estate following a mandatory 14 day waiting period.
