Summer Youth Ministry – 2021

The Diocese of Helena is excited to offer these unique Faith opportunities to young people this summer.

The Kateri Institute at Carroll College (grades 9-12)

The Kateri Institute at Carroll College combines the spiritual and the academic, exploring the relationship between faith and reason under the beautiful big skies of Montana. Youth in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in this 4-day, 3-night experience.

In addition to daily mass and prayer, we will learn from Carroll College professors of Theology and Catholic Studies, take a boat tour of the Gates of the Mountains Missouri River area, hike popular trails in the Helena area, and more.

Legendary Lodge Summer Camps (grades 5-12)

Set along the shores of Salmon Lake, our week-long camps affirm the great Truths of the Catholic Faith through fun, friendships, and lasting experiences of God’s profound love.

Campers in grades 5-12 encounter Christ through His Truth, Goodness and the Beauty of creation.

Legendary Adventure Camp (grades 9-12)

The Legendary Adventure Camp (LAC) integrates the raw, intense and difficult wilderness experience with the foundations of our faith in the context of a 6-day backpacking adventure.

We will celebrate mass each morning and dig into our rich Catholic tradition each evening while covering 5-7 miles of wilderness trail, climbing mountains, catching cutthroat trout and learning wilderness survival skills during the day.
