Girls Camp & Boys Camp
Camps begin with a focus on friendship, inclusion and Kindness, a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Activities center around new experiences and adventures. Themes reinforce basic tenets of our Catholic Faith. God’s great love for us, Gratitude, God’s Mercy, Joy and stories of the saints. For students entering grades 5 through 7.
Camps begin with an invitation to the great adventure to live the virtue Faith. Themes and activities become more closely tied for Jr. High Campers as they learn to relate experiences of friends, family and personal identity to a deep connection with Christ. Discussions include, recognizing God’s presence, seeing ourselves through God’s eyes and learning the beauty of encountering God through prayer and the sacraments. For students entering grades 7 through 9.
Camps build on a teen’s sense of beginning to chart their own course in life. Choices and decisions are a focus, especially knowing God in a busy, noisy, fast-moving world. Campers are encouraged to express their experiences and thoughts in discussion and articulate their faith lives with their peers. Faithfulness in prayer, extending Mercy to others and working to be a voice for positive and Christian ideals are themes. For students entering grades 9 through 12.
Leadership Campers move more deeply into themes of discipleship with a special focus on witnessing their Faith in their home communities. The camp is open to all teens drawn to leadership and is part of a year-long diocesan leadership development program, Catholic Youth Coalition Board which helps provide support for diocesan youth ministry events including the annual Diocesan Youth Convention. For students entering grades 9 through 12.
